The Supremes are the last bastian of conscience, protect the high court.

This is a five-alarm call to keyboards, and we need absolutely each and every one of our participants to speak out now.

THE ONLY REASON SOME SENATORS ARE SAYING ROBERTS MIGHT BE CONFIRMED IS THEY HAVEN'T HEARD FROM ENOUGH OF US YET! Please write, now.

In the aftermath of the utter devastation of New Orleans the president of the United States moved in swiftly and aggressively . . . to promote the nomination of John Roberts to the even higher position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. There had already been a massive mobilization of manpower, as administration lawyers fanned out all over the country to cover up and stonewall any records from the last 20 years that might expose what Roberts actually stands for. But what we do already know is bad enough. And now they want to ram this thing through before anybody realizes why he had to lie about his leadership role in the ultra reactionary Federalist society. Tell your senators NO on Roberts for any Supreme Court position, let alone the chief justice.

What's with the drop dead rush? If they had been in such a hurry to provide relief to the Katrina victims, thousands of lives would have been saved. The Supreme Court can operate perfectly well with eight (or even seven) judges. Even O'Connor's resignation does not take effect UNTIL a successor is confirmed. It is not a threat to the national security of the United States to be short a judge or two. To be missing a key hub city that used to have 500,000 residents is quite another matter -- lost because incompetent crony appointees, where they acted at all, did so against greater interest of the people of the United States. And the LAST thing we need is to rush through another partisan operative to wreck the Supreme Court, like they've wrecked our military, our budget, and now our entire economy. Tell them "no more biased judges."

Transmit your personal message to all your members of Congress, and, at the same time, send a Letter to the Editor of your nearest daily newspaper. There is more information on the site about the Roberts nomination, and please check out also -- http://www.OpEdNews.com, the best source of real news and opinion on the web. Write your members of the Senate now and tell them to take some personal responsibility for stopping the crony corruption and personal ideology of George Bush.
