NYC - RED CROSS volunteers needed.

The Red Cross could use volunteers to staff the Emergency Relief Call Center on 66th St. and Amsterdam Ave (150 Amsterdam Ave.in Manhattan). Training sesssions are two hours long and are at 8am, 1pm, and 6 pm each day, just show up and get trained. After that there will be weeks and months of need for call center volunteers which will be taking calls from people in need, in the deep South.

Here's a link to see the volunteering description.

You should know how to use a computer and talk on the phone at the same time, and have a calm demeanor in order to keep people on the other end calm.
